On Thursday, May 20th, Overfoto opens Environment Fast Flows, an exhibitions by Donato Maniello, curated by Irene Tedesco.
The young artist Donato Maniello exhibits for the first time his latest production of photographs and videos produced during a journey among Naples and Europe in 2008-2009.
"In Environment Fast Flows - the "environment" flows quickly -"environment" is human and natural, "environment" is everything around the human being, ghost protagonist of all his production. Important role is given by the scanning of time that establishes the environment evolving." (Irene Tedesco)
Two conceptual photographic groups, Liquidscape, a journey between urban landscapes crossed by energetic trails in yellow and blue with unforeseeable outcomes, and People, where coloured fast spots quickly parades as a film storyboard.
Two videos, Shadows and Liquidscape, complete the project. Shadows develops him in a place with changeable presences, with an harsh soundtrack created by Maniello.
Liquidscape focuses on the slow passing of time creating the big bang of an human microcosm enriched by the mechanic one.
Liquidscape final image is the symbolic union between human environment and natural world, that leads to the phenomenon of Environment fast flows to universe: the environment is quickly flowed into universe.
